  2. What is the difference between self-inking and pre-inked stamps?

Self-inking stamps flip up, hit an ink pad and flip back down. They are good for 7,000+ impressions and can be re-inked. Pre-inked stamps have the ink molded right into the wording. Pre-inked stamps are good for 50,000+ impressions and can be re-inked.
  3. What is the difference between polymer and natural rubber?

All of our stamps are made of polymer unless you choose a natural rubber upgrade. Polymer is a plastic material and works great for most applications. A natural rubber is recommended when using industrial type inks or solvents that would eat away at the polymer material.
  4. What will the depth and relief depth of my stamp plate be?

Our polymer stamps are .10" (1/10") overall depth. The relief, or raised portion is approximately .035"+ deep. If you choose to upgrade to natural rubber stamps the rubber stamps are .095" (95/100") overall depth. The relief is approximately .04"+ deep.
  5. Do you accept purchase orders or extend credit (bill/invoice) companies?

We generally extend credit to companies that have been in business for at least 5 years, or for government entities. To set up your account, please call after you have placed your first order and reference your order number. On future orders, you can simply choose the "Bill My Company" option.
  6. Is the stamp I see on the screen the exact size I will receive?

Once you enter your text or upload your artwork and click the PREVIEW/UPDATE button, dimensions of your stamp impression will appear around your stamp text. In addition, there will be a "Save PDF Proof" button which will allow you to save and print a .pdf proof so you know what size you will receive.
  7. How do I apply a Promotional Code?

If you have a Promotional Code that you would like to use, add it in the Shopping Cart area and make sure to click the "GO" arrow to apply it.
  8. Why are orders cheaper on the website as opposed to email/phone orders?

Our website allows us to streamline our production and shipping process, which allows us to charge lower prices than orders taken over the phone, fax or email.
  9. How can I contact you?

You can email us at sales@thestampmaker.com or call us at 888-451-7300! Thank you!
  10. What kind of stamp should I use for stamping on hands?

Our Stamps for Skin page will display different options based on the length of time you would like the ink to remain on the skin. The amount of time the stamp impression will last also depends on the skin conditions, the amount of ink in the stamp and what the indivdual uses (different soaps or cleaners) to remove the stamp.
  11. What is the difference between an embosser and a seal stamp?

Embossers or seals actually crimp the paper. Seal stamps make a stamped ink impression on the paper.
  12. How far will my seal impression reach into my paper?

The standard reach from the edge of your paper to the center of the seal impression is between 1 1/2" and 1 3/4". If you need a longer reach into your paper, our long reach seals extend to 4 1/4" from the side of the paper.
  13. How do I change the text insert in my embossing seal?

Follow this link to learn how to change your embossing seal insert.
  14. How do I unlock my pocket seal or desk top embossing seal?

  15. What does CO2 Neutral mean?

The stamps that have a CO2 neutral logo are manufactured with a minimized carbon footprint (49% of CO2 emissions can now be saved during the production process). These products are manufactured with the highest content of recycled plastic that is technically possible. The residual unavoidable CO2 footprint of these products is compensated by investment in Gold Standard climate protection projects recommended by the World Wildlife Foundation.
  16. How do I re-ink my Mark II Quick Dry Ink Kit?
